It looks like the wait is over. That voice we’ve been waiting for. Cynthia Miller’s voice and talent is of the likes we haven’t heard nor seen in quite some time. Like a lot of the great Soul/R&B singers, Cynthia sang with her family at home and in church as a young child. A number of well-known artists have come out of her native Houston’s Gospel scene, so it is no surprise that Cynthia has been a big part of it too. Another passion of hers is theatre; where she has been able to show off her abilities on the theatre stage, in some popular plays. She states that watching her dad not pursue his passions has had a direct effect on what she’s doing musically these days. Cynthia’s soprano voice has a quality that is clear, like glass. Stylistically smooth, she likes to paint with her vocals, and when it’s time to wail – you’ll hear powerhouse Vocal-Diva abilities. Not only a vocalist, Cynthia is also an accomplished songwriter. Lyrically purposeful, she likes songs to have a story/meaning, and be positive. She is truly destiny driven and wants to leave an impact of encouragement, thought, laughter, and hope. Although she claims to be a little bashful and shy, all that melts away when she starts to sing. Vocal comparisons that have been drawn include Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Deborah Cox, and even Sade. If Cynthia Miller’s new Control Voltage release “Deny You” is any indication of what caliber artist/voice we are talking about here – then the wait is truly over.
